Campaigns cost more than a candidate is allowed to fund alone. If you’re considering a contribution, thank you. It pays for the signs, the printing, and the door-to-door work that lets me reach every neighbourhood in Kanata North.
I accept contributions by Interac e-transfer rather than through an automatic donate button. It takes a day or two longer, and it means I personally see where every contribution comes from.
How to send one
1. Check that you can give. You need to be an individual who normally lives in Ontario, giving your own money, and your total contribution to my campaign can be no more than $1,200. Corporations, unions, registered charities and political parties aren’t permitted to contribute – though their members are very welcome to, as individuals.
2. Send the transfer to cathyforkanata@gmail.com. If your bank asks you to set a security question, please don’t send us the answer. We’ll reach out and confirm it with you directly.
3. Add your name, phone number and mailing address in the message box. I’m required to record these, and it’s how your receipt finds its way back to you.
Your transfer may sit as pending for a day or two while we get in touch.
